We're (Not) Jammin'

Updated: Sep 26, 2022

An alternative healthy condiment for you and your family.

I don't know about you but I don't really like giving my kids jam. But then I also don't like giving them plain bread. Boring right!?

So instead, I make a quick homemade Date Paste. Apart from the slightly unappealing brown colour, once you do get your kids to try it, I guarantee they will love it. You can put it on toast, mix a little in their porridge and even on their pancakes. It's SO easy to make and it's a winner!

Here's how to make it...

Date Paste

Prep Time: 5 mins

Cook Time: None

Ingredients

Pitted dates

Pinch of cinnamon

Water

Instructions

The quickest way is to pop the dates into a bowl and just cover with water. Pop in a microwave for about 30 seconds (until the dates are softer). Blitz the water and the dates and once smooth mix in the cinnamon. Done!

Keep it in the fridge in an airtight container for a few days.

Enjoy!
